CONGRATULATIONS TO MIKE MORAN
FOR WINNING 1ST PLACE FOR HIS FRETWORK ENTRY AT THE "DESIGN IN WOOD" EXHIBIT AT THE 2024 SAN DIEGO COUNTY FAIR !!!
Plus, Mike also won this year's award for fretwork from the San Diego Scroll Saw Clubs (our club and the San Diego Scrollers).

PROGRESS ON 2024 TOY PROGRAM GOALS
Our goal this year is to make and donate 1450 toys for charity !!!
So far, we have made 1076 toys - so we are at about 75% of our goal !!!
Here is the breakdown:
* Hand-held mirrors - goal 50 / made so far 50 !!!
* Toy airplanes - goal 200 / made so far 76
* Mini-wheeled toys (cars, ducks, whales, etc.) - goal 850 / made so far 850 !!!
* Puzzles - goal 100 / made so far 53
* Heart shaped boxes - goal 100 / made so far 12
* Wheeled "chomping" hippo toys - goal 100 / made 42
The charitable organizations that we support include:
* Ronald McDonald House
* SAY San Diego
* Foundation for Women Warriors
* Operation Christmas Child
* Community Resource Center (Encinitas)
*Calvary Vista church mission trips to Mexico
Contact Steve Z. if you are interested in making some these projects and donating them to the club's charity toy program.

Please take the time to look over the listing of library books that we have available for club members to check out.
The list of books in our club library is in the Members' Only section of our club website (and you can mark which books you are interested in checking out right from that listing!).
Our club librarian (Peggy Cross) will then bring the books to the next club meeting for you to pick up. Please return them at the following club meeting.

COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO RECOGNIZED OUR CLUB'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY!
The proclamation was presented to our club president and vice president (Alan and Randy) at our demonstration booth in the Design In Wood exhibition at the County Fair by representatives of Supervisor Jim Desmond.
