In June of 2025 Steve Z. was driving down the road listening to KOGO NewsRadio, when they played a notice for the George Chamberlin Community Service Award. This award recognizes individuals and organizations that devote their time, talents and resources to helping others and making San Diego a better place to live. Steve thought that this was a great description of The Regular Cutups, so he submitted our name to the station, and we won the award.

KOGO asked Alan Lewis to do two  interviews about our club, where were played on the radio several times. The station also recorded a Public Service announcement about our club and appearance at the Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch event in October.
